ঐ বেটা আর্য্যরা যে কোথা থেকে আসছিল সেটা এখনো ঐতিহাসিকরা নিশ্চিত হতে পারেননি। কেউ বলে ওরা ইউরোপ থেকে এসেছিল, আবার কেউ বলে পশ্চিম পারস্য থেকে। কিন্তু এটা নিশ্চিত যে ওরা পারস্য হয়ে এসেছিল।

"In the VEDAS, the earliest Indian texts, the SANSKRIT word Arya had the sense of noble or worthy person. আরা আমরা বাঙ্গালীরা হলাম আর্য্য পূর্ব অস্ট্রিক এবং দ্রাবিড় সম্প্রদায় এর সমন্বয়ে সৃষ্ট একটি সংকর জাতি। পরে নাকি আর্য্যরা এসে আমাদের জনগোষ্টির সাথে মিশে আমাদেরকে অনেক সভ্য করে দিয়েছে। এখন আমরা আর্য্যদেরই বংশধর। মৌর্য বিজয় থেকে গুপ্তবংশের অধিকার পর্যন্ত অর্থাৎ খ্রিষ্টপূর্ব ৩০০ অব্দ থেকে ৫০০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ পর্যন্ত সময়ে মোট ৮০০ বছর ধরে আর্যীকরনের পালা চলে।
