Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel. Double click on User accounts. Change your password so that it is different than the other computers.

Now right-click on the folder you want to share and click "Sharing and security". Click "permissions". Remove "everyone" and click "add" and type in your username under "Enter object names to select".

(1) Open Explorer or My computer then go to the tools menu and folder options. Click the view tab and go down to Use Simple File sharing: Untick it.

(2) Down to Control Panel and open Administrative tools. Open Computer management

(3) Under Computer Management click the + beside System tools. Then the + beside Local Users and Groups. Open the Users folder

(4) In the Uses menu you should have a user called Administrator, a User Called Guest and the user names of the people who use your computer. Right Click on the Guest User and go to set password. Type in the password you wish to use and click ok. Then exit Computer Management and Administrative tools

(5) Right Click on the folder you wish to share, (such as Music) and click Sharing and Security from the menu.

(6) Click Share this folder. Then click permissions. If you only want people who have a password to access the folder then remove Everyone. Next Click add, then click Advanced and Find Now. This lists all the users and stuff on your PC. Select the User Guest and Click ok. (You will also need to add your own user name and any other users on your system if you want the to be able to access the file through My network Places)

(7) Now try going to the folder from another computer on your network. It should ask for a password, the password you typed in for Guest, no matter what user name that computer is running under.
