HUMIDITY:
''Humidity is the term used to describe the moisture existing in the atmosphere.''
''Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air.''
RELATIVE HUMIDITY:
''Relative humidity is a measure of the amount of moisture in the air relative to the total amount of moisture the air can hold.''
''The ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air at a specific temperature to the maximum amount that the air could hold at that temperature, expressed as a percentage.''
NECESSITY OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY:
*Reduced in generation of static electricity.
*Reduced the amount of dust and fly.
*Materials are more easily workable due to pliability (নমনীয়তা)
*Allows for the retention of moisture already within the materials.
*Permits greater bodily comfort for personnel in cold weather
*Breakage affinity reduced due to higher fiber/yarn strength
*Certain production and technical processes and treatments in factories, laboratories, hospitals, and other facilities require specific relative humidity levels to be maintained.
*In buldings its also need to maintain humidity to avoid problem with associate dry air.
