Dhaka, Aug 02 (bdnews24.com) – Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has said that her government is seriously considering reviving the railways and expanding information and communication technology by creating two separate ministries.

Abul Kalam Azad, her press secretary, told reporters Tuesday after the first meeting of Digital Bangladesh Task Force held at the prime minister's office on Tuesday.

She also said that the Jatiya Sangsad Television, which the government has decided to launch, would broadcast the parliament's rules of business during the parliament session.

It would also broadcast various educational and ICT programmes when the parliament was not in session, she added.

Hasina also asked all concerned, including the FBCCI, to guard against any move by dishonest businessmen to increase prices of essentials during the Ramadan.

"There is no reason behind the increase of prices of essentials as there is a sufficient stock in the country," she said.

Finance minister AMA Muhith, commerce minister Faruk Khan and state minister for ICT Yeafesh Osman and FBCCI president AK Azad, among others, were present at the meeting.
