warning! hoax emails pretending to be from somewhere in... blog or somewhere in... are being sent to our bloggers these days. this is a note for somewhere in... bloggers and how to check the authenticity of received mails:
someone may be trying to create a negative impact on somewhere in... blog by sending out false mail using a hoax mail service to make you believe the mail is sent from somewhere in... blog. these mails pretend to be from the somewhere in... management or from the blog team. some mails try to make it seem that we want to obstruct another planned bangla blog day, other mails try to make you believe that we have applied a ban on your profile.
you may check the authenticity of such mails from the "message details", "show original" or in other ways find the full email heading. find the line: "mailed-by:" and confirm whether or not it says "somewhereinblog.net". if it says "mailed-by" some other address, then please ignore the mail as someone has forged our email header. forging email headers is a crime, it is a punishable offence in many countries.

of course we are annoyed. faking email headers has only one purpose, to put the perceived sender in a bad light. some companies and people look forward. they understand that they are not perfect and spend their time thinking about great ideas and how thing could be done better. but people or companies who steal identities and fake communication seems to believe that they will do better themselves by putting others in a bad light instead of focusing how they can become better. its pathetic.
still, we are in a lucky position that we have good people around us that informs us about such hoaxes. others are suffering more, as they remain unaware of the bad practices creating confusion and misunderstandings about their person.

i wonder could it be the government's i.t. spies?
to find out the identity of some specific bloggers bacause of their anti government thoughts/ post? i wouldnt be surprised if that is the case.
i got such a email soon after i posted a post as a protest to remove the bcb chairman lotus kamal because of the recent incident with our cricket captain.

i also posted a the identical thread on banglacricket.com forum and there it was a huge responce for some time because it is a forum with huge popularity and post was also a sticky one.
i am damn sure that whoever is behind this email project has a evil plan more than we can imagine.
i am just a simple soul without any political significance living abroad. but i can guess that there are lot of bloggers here who can be in serious trouble if their identity are known to the government . think about jounalists, student party members etc..
