গত ০৭/১১/২০০১১ইং তারিখে নিজ নিজ ইমেইল খুলে চমকে উঠলেন ইনডিপেনডেন্ট টেলিভিশনের কর্মীরা। একটি বার্তা। পাঠানো হয়েছে প্রতিষ্ঠানটির টপ ম্যানেজমেন্ট থেকে শুরু করে সবাইকে। প্রেরকের নাম: Independent WatchDog
বার্তায় ঢাকা ক্লাবে ঈদের আগের রাতে ককটেল পার্টি, ম্যানেজিং এডিটর সামসুর রহমান মোমেন, মানবসম্পদ উন্নয়ন প্রধান মাহবুব আর ভারতীয় নাগরিক বিশ্বজিত বর্কাতিয়া সম্পর্কে নানা ধরণের মন্তব্য করা হয়েছে। ইংরেজী ভাষায় পাঠানো এই বার্তা যদি সত্যি হয় তাহলে তা সত্যিই খুব দু:খজনক। যদি এই বার্তা কারো ভাবমূর্তি ক্ষুণ্ণ করার জন্য করা হয় তাহলে তার তদন্ত হওয়া উচিত। আর সত্য হলে দোষীদের শাস্তি হওয়া উচিত। তবে, সে রাতের পার্টিতে উপস্থিত কয়েকজন নাম প্রকাশ না করার শর্তে বার্তাটির পক্ষে অবস্থান নিলেও চাকরী হারানোর ভয়ে মুখ খুলছেন না।
