Some cadres supported by a fake sister of the home minister, who identified herself as younger sister of the minister, attacked a house at Khilkhet in the city on 26 November with a view to grabbing the house-land.
The attackers swooped on inmates of the house and looted their belongings in presence of the Officer In-charge of Khilkhet Thana Police, alleged the victim family at a press conference.
Held at the Crime Reporters Association, the press conference alleged that some cadres led by Badrul Ahmed on November 26 attacked the house located within 100 yards of Khilkhet Thana in presence of OC Badiuzzaman. The attackers attacked the house with the support of Sumi who identified herself as younger sister of the home minister, it was also alleged.
Anna Luis Asha, owner of the house, read out a written speech at the conferee where she said that Badrul Ahmed, her neighbour, tried to grab the land of about 7 khatas after this government assume the power to make a path on the land and build an AL office there.
To achieve target, Badrul Ahmed with his accompanies on June 7 attacked the house and vandalized a part of it for the first time. After the incident a case was filed at Khilket Thana, police did not take initiative against Badrul and his accompanies. But the OC threatened her not to file case, she alleged.
‘We also filed another case against Badrul in the court on June 23 and the court ordered Badrul for not creating problem to grab the land’, she said.
The press conference also alleged that violating the court order Badrul Ahmed with the support of Sumi and in presence of OC Badiuzzaman attacked the house and looted. Now Asha and her family members are staying outside.
Asha called upon the concerned authority to take initiative against Badrul Ahemd for attacking house, Sumi for identifying herself as younger sister of minister and OC Badiuzzaman for leading the incident being presence.
