এই গানটা এত্তো ভালো লাগে আমার! কেমন রক্ত কাঁপানো গান! স্মৃতিকাতুরে একটা গান।
বাংলাদেশে থাকার সময় আমার খুব বেশি ইংরেজি গান শোনার সৌভাগ্য হয়নি। আমার আব্বু'র পুরানো দিনের কিছু ইংরেজি গানের ক্যাসেট ছিল, এবং আমার বড় জ্যাঠাতো ভাই মাঝে মাঝে Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Bob Dilan আর Beatles এর গান শুনত; আমারও শোনা হয়েছিল সেটুকুই।
তারপর, এখানে এসে আমি ইংরেজি গানের এক বিশাল সমুদ্দুর আবিষ্কার করি।
গানটা পুরানো ছবির বর্ণনা আর ঘটনাবিন্যাস নিয়ে করা, যেন কাউকে ছবি দেখিয়ে ঘটনা প্রবাহ সম্পর্কে বলা হচ্ছে। গানটা শুনলেই শৈশব কিংবা কৈশোরের বাঁদুরে স্মৃতিগুলো মনে পড়ে যায়।



নিকেলব্যাক সম্পর্কে কিছু বলা দরকার। কানাডার একটি অতি জনপ্রিয় সংগীতদল, মূলত এরা রক আর রক-পপ গান করে। আলবার্টা'র হান্না শহরের একটা বেতারকেন্দ্র (99.3, The Fox) স্থানীয় সংগীত দল খুঁজে বের করার জন্য প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করে, নিকেলব্যাক ছিল ১৯৯৯ সালের বিজয়ী; সেই আবির্ভাব অস্বাভাবিক কিছু ছিলনা তা তারা প্রমাণ করেছিল অতিসত্তরই। Chad Kroeger কর্তৃক সংগঠিত এই দলে তার ভাই Mike Kroeger (Bass), চাচাত ভাই Ryan Vikedal (Drums), এবং Ryan Peake (Guitar) যোগদান করে যখন Chad Kroeger নিজেই গান লেখা শুরু করে। এদের আরো কয়েকটা জনপ্রিয় গান - Far Away (আমার আরেকটা প্রিয় গান ), If Everyone Cared (ভাবটা উচ্চাঙ্গিক ), Rockstar (শুনে মজা আছে, তবে জীবনমুখী গান ), How You Remind Me ( ছ্যাঁকাখাওয়াদের জন্য )
