১।ঈশ্বরের নবী ছিলেন ইঊসুফ (আ) (১৬১০BC -১৫০০ BC)। তখনকার মিশরে এক ভয়াবহ দুর্ভিক্ষ হয়। ততকালীন রাজার স্বপ্নের ব্যাখ্যা দিয়ে তার আগাম পুর্বাভাস করেন ইঊসুফ (আ)। তার এই অসাধারন ক্ষমতা আর অতীত চারিত্রিক সততা বিবেচনা করে বাদশা তাকেই খাদ্যমন্ত্রির দায়িত্ব দেন। তার অসাধারন ব্যবস্থাপনায় মিশরের হাজার হাজার মানুষ রক্ষা পায় এক ভয়াবহ বিপর্যয় থেকে।

২।৬৩৮ খ্রীস্টাব্দে পুরো আরবে এক ভয়াবহ দুর্ভিক্ষ হয়।তখনকার আরবের শাসক ছিলেন ইস্লামের ২য় খলীফা উমর ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রা)।দিন রাত সব কিছু ভুলে এই অশাধারন শাসক জনগনের সেবায় উতসর্গ করেন নিজেকে, নিজ হাতে গ্রহন করেন দুর্গত মানুশের ব্যবস্থাপনা। রাজ্যের সকল শাসককে নির্দেশ দেন সব সম্পদ দুর্ভিক্ষ পীড়িত মানুষের সেবায় ব্যয় করার জন্য। তার অশাধারন ভুমিকায় রক্ষা পায় অগুনিত মানুষের জীবন। উইকিপিডিয়া থেকে তুলে দিলাম এই সংশ্লিস্ট ঘটনাটি…
‘The timely aid of Umar's governors saved life of thousands of people through out Arabia. First governor to respond was Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah, the governor of Syria and supreme commander of Rashidun army. The sent a historic letter to Umar saying,’ I am sending you the Caravan whose one end will be here at syriya and the other will be at Madinah’.Later Abu Ubaidah paid a personal visit to Madinah and acted as an officer of Disaster management cell, which was headed personally by Umar. Hundreds of thousands of people from desert towns had already gathered in Madinah, once adequate supply of ration reached Madinah, Umar dispatched his men to the routes of Iraq, Palestine and Syria to take the supply caravans to the desert settlements deeper into Arabia, which in turn saved millions from annihilation. For the internally displaced people, Umar hosted a diner every night at Madinah, which according to one estimate every night more than hundred thousand people use to attend. By early 639 conditions begun to improve, Arabia received precipitation and as soon as famine ends, Umar personally supervised the rehabilitation of the displaced people. They were given adequate amount of ration and were exempted from payment of zakat for that year and the next year.’

৩। ইসলামের ৫ম খলীফা হিশাবে খ্যাত উমর ইবনুল আব্দুল আযীয ব্যাক্তিগত জীবনে খুব সহজ সরল জীবন যাপন করতেন।তার অসাধারন শাসনামলে দারিদ্র সীমার নীচে বসবাসকারী মানুষের সংখ্যা প্রায় শুন্যের কোঠায় নেমে এসেছিল।আবার ও উইকিপিডিয়া থেকে রেফারেন্স,
‘According to a Muslim tradition, a female visitor once came to Umar's house seeking charity and saw a raggedly-dressed man patching holes in the building's walls. Assuming that the man was a servant of the caliph, she asked Umar's wife, "Don't you fear God? Why don't you veil in the presence of this man?" The woman was shocked to learn that the "servant" was in fact the caliph himself.
Though he had the people's overwhelming support, he publicly encouraged them to elect someone else if they were not satisfied with him (an offer no one ever took him up on). Umar confiscated the estates seized by Ummayad officials and redistributed them to the people, while making it a personal goal to attend to the needs of every person in his empire. Fearful of being tempted into bribery, he rarely accepted gifts, and when he did; he promptly deposited them in the public treasury. He even encouraged his own wife—who had been daughter, sister and wife to three caliphs in their turn—to donate her jewelry to the public treasury. He is widely known for reinforcing the Zakat and according to Muslim tradition, at the end of his rule, there were scarcely any poor people to give the charity money to.’

ঈশ্বর এর নবী আর তাদের অনুসারীরা লৌকিকভাবে মানুষের দুখ বেদনায় নিস্পৃহ ছিলেন না।বরং পৃথিবীর অসাধারন মানবিক সমাজ গুলো তাদের হাত দিয়েই গড়েছে। ঈশ্বরকে নির্বাসন দিয়ে গড়া আমাদের সমাজগূলোতেই বরং নির্বাক মানুষের অসহায়ত্ব প্রতিধনিত্ব হয় প্রতিমুহুর্তে। আজো যদি উমরের মত রাত জাগা একজন শাসক পাওয়া যেত, ২য় উমরের মত একজন মানুষ পাওয়া যেত তাহলে ঈশ্বরকে এমন নির্লিপ্ত মনে হত না। সিডরের ত্রান চুরি করে খাওয়া সমাজের পাপ আর শোসনের যাতাকলে একটি হাইতি তৈরি করার অপরাধ কি ঈশ্বরের? পুজিবাদ কে ঈশ্বরের মর্যাদা দেয়া নস্ট উত্তরাধুনিক সেকুলার সমাজ আর তার কাছে অসহায় আত্মসমর্পন করা এই আমরাই তো ঈশ্বরকে বন্দী করে রেখেছি কেবল ভদ্রলোকের পল্লীতে। সেখান থেকে ঈশ্বরকে মুক্তি দিয়ে উমরের মত ধলার ধুলায় নিয়ে আসবে কে? কে বলবে ফোরাতের তীরে একটি কুকুর ও না খেয়ে মারা গেলে খোদার কাছে তোমাকে জবাব দিতে হবে হে উমর…………কে? সেই কন্ঠসর কি আবার ফিরে আসবে একবিংশ শতাব্দীর তারুন্যের মাঝে? নাকি ফ্যাশন আর মাল্টিন্যাশনাল কোম্পনীর কাছে আত্মবিক্রিই একমাত্র কপাল লিখন। আর ব্যর্থ হতাশ কারো কন্ঠ চেচিয়ে উঠবে ঈশ্বর তুমিই শুধু দায়ী বলে?
