Firstly, The Dream of the Rood, I read this poem a lot of times and then I understand that, this poem is related to our Jesus death, because in this poem’s last pare narrator said, “God’s son suffered awhile”. Jesus suffered a lot and I know, in this world we have one God’s son in Christian religion and his is Jesus. Christian religious follow the God’s son’s path and honor him and Christian believe, if they pray and follow the Jesus rules and don’t do any kind of sin then they will get heaven.

Secondly, the narrator explained the whole thing by a tree and his midnight dream. His dream started with a long tree and he said the tree was rare and shining. In this poem narrator very clearly explained the color of beam’s, beacon’s color and how glorious those are. The narrator also said about the dark nails and cross. We know Jesus died with a cross and he fought with evils. When he died all creations became down. The dreamer I mean the narrator believed that, the cross joins to the heaven and one day the ruler of heaven came back.

Finally, when I finished this poem, I want to say this poem is really an interesting poem. Although, it’s a religious poem but I think it’s a genre of literature.
