আশা করি ভাল আছেন। এটা আমার প্রথম বাংলা ব্লগ। কোনকিছু ভুল করে বা বলে থাকলে আগে থেকেই মাফ চেয়ে নিচ্ছি। আমি Phoenetic use করে লিখছি। বাংলায় টাইপ করতে পারি না। অনেক সময় লাগে লিখতে। তাই English use করলাম। মাফ করে দেবেন।

I have been an avid reader of SomeWhereInBlog for a few years now. This is the first time I actually had the guts to make an account and write something here.

Getting to the main point, what I want to talk about is the protest that happened in North South University today.

I have read a few blogs AND blog comments here where some of you mentioned that Private Universities are nothing but poultry farms. Here, the students have no guts or anything and are all just prissy assed losers. But before you go ahead to read what I have to say, please read the following post: Click This Link

Well, now that some of us did actually stand up for a just cause, you are saying that we shouldn’t have blocked the road. Well, I have friends in Dhaka College and other public universities who have given us moral support to do what we did. I don’t personally support all the violence that happened today. However, what could have been done?

And yes to clear something up, all those who study in NSU are NOT from rich families. Please do your homework before making unjustified comments like the children of dishonest and corrupt people only go to NSU. There are a lot of students from Military, Business and Civil background studying in NSU and other private universities. My best friend has a GPA of 5 in both H.S.C. and S.S.C and even he goes to NSU. And yes, he is from a middle class family. Or else he wouldn’t have to sell his land.
Son of the great Gandhiji wasn’t Gandhiji. Sons of Rajakars cannot be called the same. বাপের নাম নিয়ে ছেলে মেয়েদের মাপা কি ঠিক? এইটা বলেন।

Now he is trying to transfer his credits earned at NSU to some Australian University. He sold his dad’s land for that. Not everyone is as rich and corrupt as you think. Everyone has a conscience.

বাঙ্গালির নেচার হচ্ছে না জেনে কথা বলা। এটা করা থেকে বিরত থাকুন।

So yes, why this much hatred towards private universities? Is it because we get better response during job interviews? Or is it something else?
All I want to know, what do you have against NSU and other private universities?
I don’t even want to go to the Private Vs. Public debate here. I won’t approve any message concerning that.
