His message has already sparked global protests and a warning from United States military generals that burning Quran could jeopardize the lives of U.S. troops.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist issued the following statement Wednesday night;
“I strongly agree with General Petraeus and others who warn that burning Qurans as a form of protest on September 11th puts our fighting men and women overseas in grave danger. In addition to being offensive, the Gainesville protest puts at risk those brave Americans who are fighting abroad for the freedoms and values that we believe in as Americans”.
It is simply a "hate crime", no different than "burning a cross" or yelling "fire" in a crowded building and it will not achieve anything more that to insight a riot and put US citizens in more danger all over the world.
Burning Holy Quran will not burn the meanings of it. Nobody can burn the spiritual views of people. Anyone can burn anything to get attention of the world. What if, a Muslim Mosque, planned to burn a Bible on Christmas or Easter? This man is provoking religious war. He is a terrorist as those of 9/11. It does not make any sense what this man tries to do; perhaps he prefers to build a war for fame.
Once burn the Muslim holy book “Al Quran”- the people of America would perhaps dragged them in to an ‘endless divergence’ with the Muslim world. We need to create trust between the Americans & the Muslims, not worsen the process. Peace Activist like who is on for building the mutual trust would be most vulnerable in Muslim society.
Please, for the sake of well being of the earth, prevent ‘WW-III’, and do not let it happen. Let us live in peace and harmony, Let there be light.
