she once asked me, "what does the word 'love' mean
to you?"

i replied, "love is a chemical. it's evolution
tricking us into being 'fruitful' and multiplying
to keep our species going.''

she sighed, and then came an awkward silence...

five years later, after she showed me what true love
meant, she asked me the very same question.

but then, i knew what love was, and i answered,
"love is a divine force that changes the 'i' into
'we', the 'you' into 'us', and the 'mine' into
'ours'."
