These days 'jalpai' matters are hot in this site. many of the readers in this forum are 'anti-jalpai' - I know. Me being closely related with 'jalpai', like to share my experience too.
I am a businessman and I work with military. I admit that there is corruption in military too, but I must admit that its so negligible in relation to civil society that I often get astonished. Yea military persons are a bit rough in behaviour and they get their job done 100% and they never compromise with standard. After achieving standard they sometimes demand extra benefit for their organisation(which i termed as corruption before). For example I buy them some stationary for their office, or finance in official decoration. I work with them even with very less profit sometimes because of their commitment and honesty.
Someone commented here regarding the back side examination. I asked few officers in concerned field about the matter and I learnt about that. In fact this is a very common test in forces to select a person who is free of diseases starting from STD upto piles. Before a person is recruited in militray they are tested twice and it starts from the hair upto the feet because physical fitness is a prime factor there. So, start writing a blog on a out of context issue is nothing but 'stupidity'.
About educational qualification - after intermediate, few people join university, few in BUET/BIT, few in medical colleges and very few in military. The way one get engineering or medical education in the same way the military guy gets military education. Then if the military guy is 'intermediate pass', then the doctors and the engineers are 'intermediate pass' too. Moreover, the military guy, beside his all hardship and militray study also studies BA/BSc subjects and passes from National University. Then in which logic some people over here tell them 'intermediate pass'??? When my friends were in commission rank there were at least 20-22 board stand guys which is rare in any other place. A good number of military officers appear and get selected in MBA of IBA. I am sure this is one of the toughest academic achievement in BD. Persons who say the intermediate pass are actually suffers from 'inferiority complex'. Look at BTRC, how your scholar Margub Morshed and gong regulated and how Maj gen(retd) manjur is working. Before writing anything, 'be in sense'
About MIST - I talked to one of my friend who is an instructor there asked me to bring the person who commented ill and show him how the military officers dominates with good results here. In every discipline military students lead the civil students. MIST is said to be a good place to study MBA/Engineering.
About 'Daroan' matter - Military is 'daroan', its okay as per your logic. Then all the govt officers are 'servant'. But the political leaders are in no way 'korta'. They are 'shebok'. In democracy 'people/jonogon' is 'korta' and 'shokol khomotar utsho'. If the 'shebok' become 'chor' then its 'daroan' s generosity to act as 'shebok'.
Passage through Cantonment - The only place in dhaka where traffic rules are abided by is cantonment. I myself passed thousands of time through cantonment for last 12-14 years and very satisfied with the behavier of MP. Stupid people ride stupid vehicle and get the right treatment. Everyday I face so much anomaly in dhaka road which is so so disgusting. If a start writing one blog for one incident(like my daer friend) then 'shumdrer kalike jol, ar shokol gach ke kolom banaleo amar blog lekha shesh hobena'. A traffic in the road is given some authority from his superior which he performs, if he starts judging the suffering of one man and compromises with rule then in the long run thousands of people will suffer - remember.
Regarding DG BDR - When a person holds the appointment of deputy secy of any ministry then he enjoys some facility but when he is posted as DC the he performs much greater responsibility and enjoys much much greater facilities. You must remember this fact. A jeep is an utility vehicle which is generally used for longdrive, rough terrain etc. Thats why forces use this jeeps. Plz answer my question, there are many appointments in govt body where people never needs to get out of dhaka, then why they are given with 5000 CC jeeps???? 'jodu' - 'modhu' are seen in pajero, and if you go to vip lounge of ZIA you will be astonished seeing the nature of VIPS in BD('jodu-modhu' businessman are also VIP whereas it should be only 'joint secy and above'). The bottom-line is - plz never compare with two person where one is busy givng you rice at low price as an added responsibility and another person is busy in leaving the 'thieves' from the jail getting big amount of money and also are politically motivated.
I am sure my 'jalpai' friends dont have enough time like we people to do 'porochorcha'. There so many other blog sites available where important issues are discussed even regarding military. I urge to admin and also to sensible readers to generate intelligent ideas not 'ram chagol' type blog regarding 'pacha' and 'hatu'
