I was sent to learn Koran to a Sylethi Hujoor. Thanks to him that he was very kind to me and that it took me two years to finish reading it. but it was to me just reading alphabets and words. just like everything else i was reading it on routine basis. however, i noticed that i was having few debates with Hujoor regarding the birth of child. I thought his explanation was not what gentleman explains. the better way was just like the chicken comes out of an egg. then my teachers were teaching me that we were monkeys. I thought that was more scientific as i was learning that we used to eat raw meats, and got fire from dead leaves. that explains that we were animals. then there were pictures in the books. however, though my biology book had theory of creationism and evolution both, my teachers were more inclined to evolution theory. She would talk about evolution and when came to the creation of God she would just give us big smile and would tell that this is a believe nothing there scientific. so all these gave a belief that we indeed were animals and monkeys. and the belief in God left no place for reasoning in my mind. Thus many years passed. then when i went abroad for higher studies. I was reading this and that on internet and news papers or magaziens. and I read that a british singer named Cat Stevens became muslim because he read Koran. so i thought, ok i read Koran but never know what there was. So i went to a local mosque and got the english translation published in lebanon translated by an american. as i read Al bakara this got my attention, i began to see that it was challenging me on my belief. it was like a one to one conversation. and the koran was speaking to me challenging mind reasons. i concluded such book can not be written by any man. there must be someone else beside men to write in such a way. it resembles no conventional way I ever read any books or stories. so i concluded this books can not come from any man, must come from a power that amazed me and challanged me throughout my reading and that power is as the books mentions my Lord the one Allah.
