Let us assume a medium ranged private university in Bangladesh.
Why would we assume a medium ranged private university?
I am trying to comment on all the students from different financial ranges. Or you can say, I take all available type of students from different categories. It is a middle ranged university where I can get all of them.
Let’s choose a department and go through a class and make a survey. If the class has 40 students, let us find the number of students who are worthy of the course. A teacher from their course can at least predict the number. So, what would be the amount of number?
Is it 40? Or 35? Or 30? Or is it less?
From my survey, it is at least 5 or 6. Or it can be more but not more than 10 students. If you do not believe it, then I am assuring you that it is a fact.
A question can be raised that what is the meaning of worthy? Or worthy of what? I must clear it. I assume them worthy of the course, worthy of understanding the course, worthy of the possibilities that they can do in future with the opportunity of the course.
But what’s the reason? Why?
We can take the advantages by blaming the education system. Yes, I admit it as a curse to them. But university is an open source education system. Specially, the private ones. In private university, we get regular classes, regular exams, advantages of communicating with the teachers comparing to public universities. And the advantages of a big community of students for both private and public.
Personally, I have seen that if you are facing problems understanding the classes, teachers are ready to explain you more and more until you get understood. They even inspire you to go to them personally whenever you face any problem. And believe me, they are friendly and restless to help you in study.
Another thing is, there are a lot of teachers in the department who are ready to help you whether he/she is your course teacher or not.
Rather students get a big community or group from their department. If anyone is desperate to get any help in studies there are lots of students who may help him/her happily. At least, every student goes through classmates. And are they trying to excuse that there is none who can help him/her? I guarantee it that each student has more than one classmates from whom he/she can get help.
So what’s the reason? I don’t know the reason. It is only you who can find the reason. I am trying to say, “Don’t misdirect yourselves on excuses, please.”
At the end of the day, it is only you who may be a burden. But burden to whom? Are you thinking that you would be a burden to your family or society or country or all of them?
No, not at all. You are wrong. You have a misconception for sure. I guarantee you that you would be a burden on yourself own, not on others.
