These days weekends are so awaited by every living cell of my body.... not that I hate to work rather it is quite the opposite. I am on the verge of getting the title of a workaholic but still the break of 48 hrs rejuvenates me. Last night as a celebration of my long awaited weekend I watched 'The Usual Suspects' and 'K-PAX', both starred by Kevin Spacey.

I don't think there is anything left to say about the brilliance of the 'The Usual Suspects'. Needless to say that Kevin Spacey excelled himself. This man is one hell of an example that looks have got nothing to do for becoming the most captivating actor on earth. And about Gabriel Byrne, I had this undying crush on this man the day I watched 'End of Days'.....Man!!! Devil never looked so beautiful.... so tempting!! And I loved him all the more in this movie too. An awesome example that a movie can take place in the list of the ten most amazing mystery movies without unnecessary violence and sexuality. This was a masterwork, the coordination of so many stars was perfect, dazzling performance by all of them.... one of the most captivating movies I have seen in my life. It never occurred to me the 'Keyser Soze' was Verbal himself before it was too late and portraying the scene where Kujan convinced Verbal that Keaton was Keyser Soze, in retrospect where Verbal let Kujan believe that Keaton was Soze, was breathtaking,, deception never looked so convincing..... I am highly impressed and the time I had to give after this movie was worth every second of it.

About K-PAX,, well this movie doesn't have similar rating like the 'The Usual Suspects'. However, it is a touching one. Spacey was once again brilliant. Though there are some missing links as to why Robert ended up as a catatonic after almost five years to the trauma still Spacey's appearance made up for all sort of ambiguity.... Probably I would remember Spacey's expression more in this movie than that of in the 'The Usual Suspects'. It is not an easy job to portray an alien who believes there is no concpet of family in his planet and also a man who witnesses the murder of his family. Spacey's expression when he was under the hypnotic sessions was priceless. It is not often that I am moved by an actor's expressions and charmed by it even after 24 hours. But that is Kevin Spacey for you....!!!

I would be watching 'Ordinary Decent Criminal' and 'LA Confidential' tonight, hopefully. Looking forward to it
