I would call myself a very calm person. Rarely do I lose my temper to the point of screaming or barking or frowning for that matter. However, right now I am this close to totally lose my temper. Is it like the telecommunication industries are here for selling the information about their customers? Like how can a company change my tariff plan without my consent and just because a friend of mine asked for it? Now I do know this friend of mine and he meant to help me as he was on good terms with the operator. What if he wasn't a friend and just a stranger who just happened to be my acquaintance and chummy with the customer care of that said operator? They would surely do the same and I guess also provide him with all the information I had to give them while getting the connection. I seriously wonder if I could take them to the court for breach of my rights of privacy that they are under an obligation to protect. Where on earth do we live? Which country for crying out loud where information is for sale?? Where there is no practical law to safeguard the customers' right to privacy? I can understand cyber-bullying, cyber-harassment, hi-tech crimes, but the telecom companies selling out information, I don't really know how exactly I should interpret it. Is it because corruption is in the genes or the indifference of the authority? What I believe is none is born a saint. It is the law that compels you lead a life without causing troubles with others. Being a law grad, none knows it better than I do. So it sure is the indifference of the authority. I wonder what TI has to say about it....''information for sale by the multinational telecom operators''. Considering the nature of the TI, they are going to keep mum about it all. After all, they gotta get paid at the end of the month...Dear Lord, I am so freaking out here. Call me paranoid but the very idea that information is purchasable just like that here in this country is making me feel utterly threatened and exposed.
