At last we have been successful to observe Gravitational wave what Einstein predicted long ago. Gravitational Wave is nothing but a ripple generated in space-time continuum. It travels through space-time like a ripple in a river or a sound-wave in air. The term space-time was first coined by Einstein when he discovered a strange relation between space and time. He visualized it by an equation where space and time are woven together. However strangely enough the concept of space as a medium was rejected long ago when it was called 'ether' a mass-less imaginary fluid in space when Michelson and Morley failed to observe any interference pattern in their experiment. Then Einstein came forward with ground breaking "special theory of relativity" saying that speed of light is same for any observer. It was not that difficult for his imaginative mind to play with time to concur with the observation. For that to happen he just made some back calculation and his calculation showed that this is only possible if the time and length(space) with a moving body(in his version, an observer in a moving frame of reference) is warped (time-dilation and length contraction). But nobody realized, this is also possible in presence of ether with Einstein's equation; the only thing you have to do is to replace the term space with ether. Furthermore, nobody asked the question why the space warps due to speed.
Later on he generalized his previous theory and said space curvature is also present with big mass of body this is what makes gravity possible. But again nobody asked why mass creates a dimple in the space or more accurately-space time. Why didn't anyone ask the question? Because everyone was so excited about the prediction of Einstein's strange theory, even now in 2017, no one dares.

The space-time which is physically nothing but space and has some relation with time and its the reason why we call space, space-time. This relation is like they are bonded together, if you are able to contract space anyhow, the time or the rate of an event taking place is also altered, not necessarily you have to move faster or you need a huge mass. This is even possible with two places in the same frame of reference, provided that you are able to compress or dilate the space holding one place and leave the other as it is. That means if you can somehow, stretch the space, time is also effected no matter how.
Moreover, if space itself a medium like what ether originally was, anyone can travel with respect to space what we now call space-time medium.
