FAQs about 34th BCS VIVA

Ques: What are the documents needed for viva?

Ans: The minimum requirements:
SSC/HSC/Honors original certificates
Attested Photocopies of SSC/HSC/Honors certificates – 1 copy each
BPSC Form 1/Applicant’s Copy – 2 copies
BPSC Form 2 – 1 copy (Remember to download BPSC Form-2 for 34th BCS. Due to some unknown reason, its important)
BPSC Form 3 – 2 copies
Police verification form – 3 copies
Written Admit – 1 copy
Properly filled Viva Admit – 1 copy
Passport size Photo – 1 copy (attached with BPSC Form 2 and attested)

You will need additional documents depending on your FF status/Current job status/Appeared status etc.

Ques: What to remember while filling up the forms?

Ans: Don’t leave any field blank which you were supposed to fill. If the field is not applicable for you, put “প্রযোজ্য নয়”. You should write your Registration no on the attested copies of the certificates and also on the police verification forms. But you can leave these writings for the time being. At the time of submission, they will help you out with these.

Ques: How the documents should be arranged?

Ans: Do not worry about it beforehand. When you reach the board, an Assistant Director will be there who will give you instructions about how to arrange them.

Ques: What sort of file should I carry to take the documents?

Ans: Whatever suits you, it doesn’t actually matter. You cannot take the file with you in the VIVA board. All your docs will be delivered to the board before you go in. You will have to go empty handed.

Ques: When should I reach PSC on the viva date?

Ans: Within 9:30 am, as mentioned in the viva card.

Ques: Where is the new PSC Office?

Ans: The new PSC Office Building is located at Agargaon, adjacent to Parishankhyan Bhaban.

Ques: Should I take my mobile with me?

Ans: You should not. You cannot take it inside PSC building. But in case you take your mobile with you, there will be provision to leave the mobile in the reception. You have to take a token after submitting the mobile. Do not lose the token.

Ques: What if I take a bag with me?

Ans: Unlike the mobile, you cannot check-in your bag at the reception and take a token. You will have to leave the bag somewhere near the reception at your own responsibility.

Ques: How the candidates will be sent to separate boards?

Ans: After you enter into PSC building, you will have to wait in the hall room in the ground floor. When everybody is inside, a range of rolls will be called and they will be sent to a board. Again another range will be called and sent to another board.

Ques: How/when can I know the name of the board (name of the chairman)?

Ans: When you are sent to a board, you are usually sent to a PSC member’s office. You will wait in his/her AD’s room which is adjacent to the member’s room. Just go outside and look for the name which is written on the door of the member’s room. So, as soon as you reach the board, you will know the name of the board.

Ques: What documents will be there in the board?

Ans: The board will be given BPSC Form - 2 which you submitted before written and all your original certificates. I don’t think anything else is delivered to the board. BPSC Form – 2, which you will take with you will be kept in the file and it won’t go in.

Ques: What if I forget to take a form/photocopy/attested/any other document?

Ans: No need to panic. Inform the AD about your situation. If you can get the form/photocopy/attested within the office time of the viva date, everything will be all right. So, you will get plenty of time to recover from your mistake.

Ques: What if due to some unavoidable reasons, I reach the viva board late like 1 or 2 hours?

Ans: Again, no need to panic. Inform the AD about your problem. As long as the board is there, you can appear for your viva.

Ques: After coming back, I found out that they did not keep my admits. Did they do it by mistake?

Ans: No, they did not. Both the written and viva admits will be returned to you after viva.


To Wrap Up: A Walkthrough

1. You reach PSC within 9:30 am on your viva date.

2. You will be asked to go in but you cannot take your mobile and bag with you. Only file is allowed. If you have a mobile, you will have to deposit it in the reception.

3. After entering, you will wait in a hall in the ground floor. Different boards will send their roll no allocations and a man from the front will announce them. There will be a person from each board who will take you there.

4. You will wait in the AD’s room adjacent to the VIVA board. The AD will tell you how to arrange the documents. After that, he/she will call one by one and take all your documents. If you have any confusion at all, ask him/her.

5. 4/5 persons’ documents will be delivered to the viva board at a time and the board will start calling by ringing the bell.

6. When your turn comes, go in empty handed. Don’t take anything else but your knowledge with you. Do whatever you need to do. At the time of coming out, take your original certificates from the board.

7. That’s all. You have done your best, there’s nothing else left for you to do. Leave PSC premises.

8. Its been a long Journey. Time to GET A LIFE.
