পূর্ব পাকিস্তান তথা বাংলাদেশে এক ধরনের বিচিত্র ভূমিকম্প দেখা যায়।

এই ভূমিকম্পে মূর্তি ভাঙে, বৌদ্ধমঠ-মন্দির ভাঙে, কিন্তু মসজিদ মাজারের কোনো ক্ষতি হয় না।
