why mujib is told to be declared independence. his 7 march speech is not war or liberation . Very tactfully he avoided wrath of Pakistanis , avoided any direct confrontation between him and pak authority,on 25 march night he surrendered, not arrrested. he knew the exact time of pak army crackdown. he ensured his safety by not fleeing but by quicky going under custody of Pak army.
during liberation war his whole family stayed in dhaka very safe and sound as he ensured safety of his family so that they are not attacked or disturbed by pak army.
Siddique Salik, a pakistani military cum journalist described all this is his book " witness to surrender".
It is the bengali nation who was desperate for independence. By any means they want declaration of war and liberaton. but clever awami league leaders keep them on waiting , let the pakistani army to import more weapon and troops, which later used in carnage of 25 night.
how many awami league top leaders where caught or dead on that night? none, because putting the unprepared country in the face of pak basterds they all flee to india. In india millions of refugees lead inhuman life where as awami league leaders lead a comfortable and luxurious life. top brass of awami leaders flee even with their family, started in life in kolkata and agartola, and million of bengali was at the verge of death.
Now come to Zia. who is Zia? he was a simple major of army, like other hundred of majors. By the request of chittagong radio employees , he read out a draft of independence, just like a news reader of tv. and now BNP call him the founder of independence. what a joke!!!!!. Zia was an average type of officer in pak army, but very clever , like other Bogra origin people( sorry bogra brothers). He know where to take chance, so he utilized all chances, hanged Tahir and sit on power.
so, readers, why don't we get rid of this two culprits. let us think, our independence is brought by brave Bengalis. Not muib not Zia, it is our brave couragious forefathers who faught and brought liberty.
