I live with a senior citizen and the TV remote belong to his regime. Just to be around him started to watch his favorite channels. Remember started with watching A&E the cold case files are reopened and murderers are brought to justice. They seemed to me more interesting then regular shows. Then moved to Link TV, a channel with the slogan Television without Boarders. They broad cast authentic news and programs, music from all over the world. Its a source of learning authentic, non-biased cultural, political programs in non-fictional category. Their only fictional show might be the Cinemando, movies from different countries. They news show is the called Mosaic which is collection of news broadcast from all over the world. I think anybody can send his/her program for broadcasting.

In one their documentary about sufferings of women and lawyers effort in helping them was shown. The battle is to keep this battered women alive by providing them shelter and support in their hopelessness. Most of them were runaways from in-laws village home when life became unbearable. On going demand for dowry, non payment of dowry are the major cause of torture, life thereat to the women. They can not find shelter anywhere, if return to birth family, they become candidate for honor killing. They put the whole family or tribe in disgrace, they are married women and should keep living with in-laws, under any circumstances they should not abandon their post. Under any or all circumstances they are more than welcome to put themselves on fire better choice for saving the honor of the family. This is a genuine proven way of avoiding Honor Killing. Their untimely voluntary departure are the result of the past incidents of Honor Killing. They are trapped in code of honor, live or die, prosperously or not, it has to be on your first husbands ground. and on their terms. They wise women took lesson from the family history that the moment the return to parents or their guardians of maiden life, their male blood relatives are mandated to take their lives. In-laws and their own outlaws will continue living with the knowledge that their (the dead and alive both parties) honor is safely guarded by their own Khoon which can not be tarnished by some one trying to escape from danger or trying to live in her own honorable way. The young and strong females to end up in shelters are those who are still alive in their soul though their flash and bones might be battered.

LinkTV's, documentary on honor killing certain region in Pakistan, showed father of a young woman came the shelter to take her home. She repeatedly refused to return with her father. Father putting his pagri at her feat, convinced her to return with him. On her return home, she lost her life too. The killler can not be ascertained but she was dead, nobody can give any explanation.

Another program about a Indian lady doctor's suicide hanging herself from her the door-nob of her bed room door according to her inlaws. She was depressed, so committed suicide. Husband is a doctor, Father-in-law is a distinguished person. A renowned female lawyer fighting for justice.

The knowledge make me send special thanks to Allah for providing me the escape route.
