A little bit of insight to a recent tradegy that took place a few days back.

Risha,student a Willes Little Flower School,was recently stabbed by a probable stalker and was left bleeding near the school over bridge. This happened in broad daylight while she was in a rikhshaw. What astonishes me the most is that she laid there bleeding and pleading for help but no one came forward to help! She lay there helpless for a period of time until some of her acquaintances noticed and carried her to school premises as they themselves did not know what to do. But surprisingly the guards would not allow her to be brought into the school. I cannot imagine why they would not. But somehow she was entered into the school premises only to be denied access to the school bus to be used by the 'honorable' Principal. According to him,the event did not take place inside the school so he will not allow any school facilities to her. I cant imagine the horror that was going through her,laying there able to do nothing. Finally she was taken to Islamic Bank Hospital through some other means as time was vital here. But here lay even more disappointment as they refused to take her too as well. Finally she was admitted to Dhaka Medical College after all this hassle and between all these stuff quite a lot of time was wasted.

After fighting for 5 days,her soul departed. We could not save her,we lost a friend,a daughter,a sister. And it makes me think,did we do enough to save her? No we did not. If she had instantly received help and be not denied help from the school,she might not have lost so much blood and maybe she would have had more chances of being alive today. A little kindness goes a long way, and if we would have been a bit more kind and a little less selfish,we could have saved a innocent life. And what saddens me the most is that i have spend my whole school life here and i have always considered it a safe haven,a second home,a place of tranquility. Now i cant help but wonder,if this happened to me,would i have the same fate? Would i be a outcast to the place i have always considered a gateway from all my problems? This breaks me apart.
I cant understand the 'logic' behind not helping the helpless,not being kind,not being there for others. Isnt that the basic rules for being humane? Humanity has been lost once more. What broke me into pieces that Willes Little Flower was my school and I am a proud Willian and seeing another Willian dyeing like thia is seriously unacceptable.
