জরুরী কাজে গ্রামের বাড়ি যেতে হচ্ছে। কাজটা জরুরী কিনা সে ঠিক বলতে পারছে না। জরুরী কাজটা বাবার- সে শুধু ডাক হরকরার কাজটা করছে। ভোরে ঘুম থেকে উঠিয়ে, বাবা একটা খাম ধরিয়ে দিয়ে বলল- এটা তোর কাকার কাছে পৌছে দিবি। নাস্তা সেরে তড়িঘড়ি করে আসতে হল স্টেশনে, ট্রেনে যেতে হবে ময়মনসিংহ থেকে গৌরীপুর। লোকাল ট্রেন, টিকেট পেতে কোন ঝামেলা হয়না।

ব্রহ্মপুত্রের প্লাবনের পানি নেমে যাওয়ার পরও নিচু জমিগুলো পানিতে ডুবে আছে, রাস্তার দু ধার ধরে। ট্রেন ছেড়ে এসেছে যথাসময়ে। জানালার পাশে খালি সিট পাওয়া গেল।
সতের বছরের ছেলেটির নাম তপু। এতক্ষণ ধরে ডুবেছিল বইয়ের মধ্যে, যথারীতি গোয়েন্দা গল্প। আচমকা ব্রেক কষায় বই থেকে মুখ তুলে পরিস্থিতি বুঝে উঠার চেষ্টা করছে। ওর চোখের দিকে তাকালে মনে হবে, অন্য কোন গ্রহে এসে পড়েছে। মায়ের হাতে থাপ্পড় খাওয়া শিশুর মত আহত চোখে তাকাল সামনে।

তপু প্রথম পলকেই ভড়কে গেছে, দৃষ্টিভ্রম টাইপের কিছু মনে হচ্ছে। চোখ ভয়ানক এই দৃশ্যে মোহাভিষ্ট, বারবার পাতা পড়ছে, নতুন করে অবলোকন করার চেষ্টা করছে। তাও মনে হচ্ছে সে ভুল দেখছে, রূপের বড় একটা অংশ তার চোখকে ফাঁকি দিচ্ছে।
তপু জেনেছে সৃষ্টির সব সৌন্দর্য থেকে তিল তিল করে বেছে নিয়ে বিশ্বকর্মা তিলোত্তমা তৈরি করেছিলেন। আহা, বিশ্বকর্মা কী ভুল ই না করেছেন!
এই পার্থিব তিলোত্তমা থেকে তিল তিল করে সৌন্দর্য নিয়ে সকল সৃষ্টির পূণঃসৃষ্টি হলে তথাকথিত স্বর্গেও চেয়ে কম কিছু হতনা। তপুর ইচ্ছে হল ওকে একদন্ড ছুঁয়ে দেখে। নিষিদ্ধ বস্তুর প্রতি যেমন আগ্রহের বাড়াবাড়ি থাকে, তবে তাই কী হয়!

শত হোক সে তো তার মতই মানুষ, দেখি পরিচয় নেয়া যাক- ভেবে নিল একবার। মনে মনে সাজাতে লাগল প্রথম প্রশ্ন-” কই নামবেন?”, ”আপনার নাম?”, ”আপনি এত সুন্দর কেন?” ইত্যাদি। একবার মনে মনে রিহার্সেল দিল। ততক্ষণে শুরু গেছে নিউরনে অনুরণন। মস্তিষ্ক এই অনভ্যস্থ রূপশোভায় রক্তপ্রবাহ বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে। অনুভূত হল স্পন্দন, হৃদয়ের স্পন্দন।

লাখো বছরের বর্ষীয়ান সূর্য এই রূপে অযুথ প্রাণের স্পন্দন ঘটাইয়াছে, ইহাও অবলোকন করিয়াছে যে এই স্পন্দন বহু প্রাণের চিরায়ত স্পন্দন বন্ধ করিয়াছে, আবার নতুন প্রাণের সৃষ্টিও করিয়াছে। এই যে গল্পখানি গুরুচন্ডালী দোষে দুষ্ট হইয়া গেল ! শুধু এই এক কালিমায় নহে, আরো কিছু দোষে দুষ্ট হইয়া কাহিনীর দুষ্টুমি আরম্ভ হইবে। একে তো গুরুচন্ডালী তার উপর ভাষান্তর। চরিত্রের স্থান, কাল ও ভাষার রূপান্তর হেতু ইংরেজি ভাষায় উপাখ্যান চলিবে।

Tapu was in a world of dream as in a good bond of friendship with simi .
They were introduced to each other in the coaching home for admission test.

Tapu migrated to Finland for higher studies after being graduated. He finished formal study few years ago, worked in a research farm as fellow for two years. At last now at a chemical farm in East London. He decided to be bachelor.

In a Sunday evening, Sharmin with her two son coming out of a restaurant, while Tapu entering…..
