BNP Chairperson and opposition leader Begum Khaleda Zia expressed deep shock shock at the death of former adviser to the caretaker government Maj Gen (Retd) Moinul Hossain Chowdhury Bir Bikram.
Moinul Hossain, also freedom fighter and one of the organisers of Liberation War, died yesterday at the Square Hospital in the capital.
In a condolence message, Khaleda Zia recalled the contribution of late
Moinul Hossain mentioning his bravery during the Liberation War as the Battalion Commander at ‘Z’ Force and ‘S’ Force under Ziaur Rahman.
She termed Moinul Hossain as courageous, heroic, qualified and dedicated son for the country.
BNP Chairperson expressed deep shock to bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of the former adviser.
Meanwhile, Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Mokbul Ahmed in a separate condolence message expressed deep shock at the death of Moinul Hossain.
Recalling the contribution of the freedom fighter during 1971, he said Moinul Hossain was an honest, patriotic and liberal democratic person.
He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party Prof Dr MA Matin, General Secretary Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah, President of Jalabad Association Dr AK Abdul Mobin, General Secretary Nasir Uddin Ahmed Mithu, President of Sylhet Division Development Action Council Advocate Abed Raza and General Secretary Najmul Islam Naj in separate messages expressed deep shock and preyed salvation of the departed soul.
