লিখছি প্রায় দেড় বছর এখানে থাকার পর। বেশ কিছু দেখলাম এই কয়েক দিন এ... আমার দেশের বন্ধু গুলোর সাথে জোগাজোগ ধীরে ধীরে কমে গেলো ... বাবা মা এর সাথে সপ্তাহে বেশী হলে ২ থেকে ৩ বার এস এম এস আদান প্রদান হয়... আর কথা হয় হয়ত মাসে ১ বার।

জীবন। এখানে এসে সবাই খুব বলে - এত busy হয়ে গিয়েছি man .. এই কারনেই আর খবর রাখতে পারি না... তারপর বল কেমন আছ?

আমার দিন শুরু হয় সকাল ১০ টায়। ঘুম থেকে উঠি উঠি করতে করতে ১১ টা। Semester Break চলছে... তাই সকাল টা ফ্রি থাকে। ১১ টায় উঠে রান্না বান্না করতে করতে হয় তো বেজে যায় ১ টা? টিভি তে চলতে থাকে Paramount Comedy Central. Not that I watch it continuously... actually I dont. বোকা বাক্স তার মত করে চলতে থাকে...

তারপর হয়ত এই computer নিয়ে বসা। কিছু করা।

তারপর সন্ধা ৬ টায় কাজ এ যাওয়া... আর ১০ টায় বের হয়ে work mates দের সাথে বসে ১১ টা পর্যন্ত গপপো মারা।

বাসায় এসো, ঘুমোও।

Repeat next day.

As you can probably tell, its not really a hectic routine. A quite boring routine indeed but not hectic nonetheless. The only time it changes is during the weekend when I feel like going in the sun and shine and walk around oxford circus and perhaps go to some other place at some other time till the wee bits at night and do what most of the guys of my age would do...

বাংলাদেশ কে মনে পড়ে। ভালোই ছিল... কাজ ছিল না... নিজের ফার্ম রান করতাম। সন্ধায় জিম। জিমের পরে Cafe Mango তে আড্ডা... সব একই ছিলো...

Yet somehow, that life made more sense.

Whether it was the barking dogs at the streets that I miss, or the honks of the rickshaw around.... I dont know. Whether I miss the view of people of my country, the rather unclean, and uncouth street with the smell of dead rats - I cant tell, I seriously, cant! Or is it the fact that I'm away off whatever that used to be ME till now - my family, my home ... all those little uncool thing about Bangladesh that made me the boy that I am today?

I am no shrink. If I was ... I'd probably choose the last bit.


Cant wait to get home.
