An Unique Cinematic Experimentation: Tatun Ekti Meyer Naam (A Girl Named Tatun)
A Contemporary Musical Story - A Tribute to Rabindranath Tagore & Maitreyi Devi, inspired by the novel "Na Honyate" by Maitreyi Devi & a Visit to Mongpu by Shibasish Dasgupta in June'2011.
Mongpu is a small village in West Bengal, India, under the Kurseong Sub-division, it is about 30 Km from Darjeeling and 54 Km from Siliguri. Although the Kanchenjunga is not visible from here, the place has a quiet charm of its own which attracted Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore, who came and lived here at Maitreyi Devi's house on many occasions. The house in which he lived now serves as a museum, where some of his personal effects are preserved.
This Programme Was Performed During the Cultural Programme in Durga Puja Celebration On 15th October, 2011 at University Lions Club, Gainesville, Florida, USA.
